Wednesday
night sees the start of the competitive cricket season down
at the Braidhaugh. Players are asked to indicate their
availability to 2nds captain, Ken Walden on 077429 67490 as
soon as possible. Morrisons traditionally provide the
opposition for the first game of the season and the usual
close-fought contest is anticipated.
Junior training continues on a Monday
evening from 6.30 - 8.00. Players are asked to remember the
£1 training fee. The first U-13 game of the season starts on
Sunday, 7th May at the North Inch in Perth from 9.30 -
12.00. The team will meet at the Braidhaugh for 8.30 to
finalise travel arrangements. The team will be drawn from
those players who have returned membership and consent
forms.
The deadline for entries to the Annual
'Nickel 'n Dime' 6-a-side competition is the 14th May.
Competition organiser Kirk Gauld has thrown the field wide
open with his decision to include the juniors who train on a
Monday evening in the competition. Defending champs, The
Stavanger Boys, are back to defend their title as are old
favorites, the Strathearn Harriers, Shozyergooglyz and the
Cricket Chicks.
